The members of Mahima Mahila Bachat Gath based in Aina village opted for brick making because of their inherent skills and experience related to this vocation. 

We supported them with all the relevant equipment required to start the business like dies for brick, spade, water pump & pipes, coal for the oven, etc and got them ready to start the business.

It was easier to start the operations for this unit since the women were trained beforehand itself and the raw materials are available locally. The group has made their first batch of 25,000 bricks before the monsoons set in.

The operations will start again around September and we plan to support them for a period of atleast 1 year so that they are able to stabilise their operations and are confident to run the business on their own.
