Our Curriculum
At NeejJivan Foundation, we firmly believe in our slogan आपका हाथ हमारा साथ…. and are have built the program grounds up. In other words, it’s a program for the people and by the people… we are only facilitating the process!
We offer a platter of vocations to our students and help them make the right choice -
Poultry Farming, Fish Farming, Goat Rearing, Mushroom Cultivation, Vermi-composting, Tailoring, Nursery, Patrawali, Kulhad Making, Handicrafts, Catering / Dhaba, Bakery, Pani Puri, Food Processing, Sanitary Pad Making, Rural Tourism, Chiku Processing, Masala Making, Papad Making, Pickle Making, Bee Keeping & Honey Cultivation, Brick Making, Agarbathi Making, Sewai Making and many more….
Besides the technical knowledge on the vocation of choice, we also teach them. Entrepreneurship skills, facilitate access to funds and support our students to start their small scale business ventures.
The 30-45 day program is a combination of training workshops, interactive games & decoding group dynamics and on-line sessions – with maximum time being spent on practical aspects and the balance on theory.
We believe in Gandhi Ji's principles of “Nai Talim” which gives each student an opportunity for wholesome learning and in the process, we have attempted to make it as experiential as possible so that they could learn by “experiencing the problems”. The pedagogy is designed on the principles of group learning.
The program has been designed to ensure positive outcome in terms of sustainable livelihood - the idea is to ensure that our students get a well-rounded experience during the program and get fully ready to take on the world.
We have tied up with a few stalwarts in this field – M/s. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dahanu, M/s. Khadi Village Industries Commission, Dahanu and M/s. ID Tech Foundation (a NSDC affiliated partner) as our Knowledge Partners to deliver the technical aspects of each of the vocations.
