The Agarbathi Making unit will be run by Jyot Mahila Bachat Gath who are based in the Shiroshi village in the Jawhar taluka in Palghar district of Maharashtra.

 The best part about this project is that it is a case of “Contract Manufacturing” wherein the vendor will provide the raw materials and also buy back the agarbathis made by the women and they get paid for the work done.

A MOU with a tenure of 12 months for contract manufacturing was signed with the vendor and the SHG that will facilitate the arrangement.

This project is part of the Integrated Village Development Program being supported by M/s. Tata Motors, M/s. Jaguar Land Rover and M/s. BAIF Livelihoods.
