We inaugurated a goat farm in the remote village of Murbad in the Dahanu taluka in the Palghar district in November. This farm comprising of 10 goats of the “Kokan Kanya” breed will be operational as a goat bank and run by the members of Pujya Mataji Mahila Bachat Gath in this village.

The women have been trained on the technical aspects of goat farming at Krishi Vigyam Kendra, Dahanu and NeevJivan Foundation has helped them in purchase of the goats, setting up the shed, connected them to the local veterinary doctor and will continue to support them for the next 12 months till they are able to handle farm on their own.
