We recently concluded a training program for the 13 Self Help Groups based in Modgaon village in Dahanu taluka in the Palghar district of Maharashtra…. over 100 women are expected to benefit out of this program in the long run. Spread over 40+ days, the program covered the following-

1. Technical training for vocations of choice- Poultry (9 groups), Goat Rearing (3 groups) & Patrawali making (1 group)

2. Sessions on Entrepreneurship skills covering Demand-Supply-Pricing Management, Building Value Proposition, Product Pricing, Market Survey, Accounting & Book Keeping, Marketing and much more

3. We also had sessions on Team work and Creating an effective vision for themselves.

4. 60 members of the respective SHGs also applied for their caste certificates and also completed the documentation.

We are now ready to apply for grant from ITDP and other government departments so that they SHGs can start their business ventures… We wish them luck as they start their entrepreneurial journey.
