The program has been curated with our “ears on the ground” in consultation with all stakeholders including experts working in the area of skill development and vocational training, the youth who will benefit from the program and captains of local industry.
The four pillars ingrained in our program to help our students find alternate sources of income are
- Vocational Training on vocations of choice,
- Training on Entrepreneurial skills,
- Facilitate access to funds to start a small scale business venture
- Support them for atleast 6 months to stabilize their operations.
The 30-45 days program for entrepreneurship is a combination of training workshops, interactive games, case studies, field trips & group work, on-line sessions and much more….
It has been designed to give each student an opportunity for wholesome learning and in the process, we have attempted to make it as experiential as possible so that they could learn by “experiencing the challenges”. The pedagogy is designed on the principles of group learning.
We have tied up with a few stalwarts in this field – M/s. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dahanu, M/s. Khadi Village Industries Commission, Dahanu and M/s. ID Tech Foundation (a NSDC affiliated partner) as our Knowledge Partners to deliver the technical aspects of each of the vocations.
We believe that armed with the technical knowledge of the chosen vocation and with the skills for entrepreneurship and the soft skills, our students will be ready to take on any challenge….
