Equipped with new skills, the group started a mushroom farm on a small scale — a venture that now serves the village and generates income for its members. For Manisha, this meant more than just earnings; it brought a sense of pride, independence, and the confidence to dream bigger.
“Earlier, I depended entirely on my family’s income. Today, I not only earn my own but also support my household. This has changed how I see myself,” she shares with a smile.
Her journey is a testament to the power of opportunity and support. Manisha now hopes more women in her community will receive similar training so they too can stand on their own feet, support their families, and inspire change in others.
